Project: 

Synthesis and characterization of a-Si:H/n+-Si:H/a-SiNH multilayers for IBC-HIT solar cells

Aim of the project:

Achieving efficiency of ∼20% of HIT solar cells using a novel device architecture of Interdigitated Back Contacts

Approach:

• Optimizing process parameters to enhance the PV device properties by employing a positive feedback loop 

• Performing material characterization of thin films & electrical characterization of fabricated IBC-HIT solar cells

Photovoltaics, Nanomaterial Fabrication, Thin Films, Design and Fabrication

Brief Biodata:

Hello! I am Sudhanshu, a final year Dual Degree undergraduate at IITB. I will be graduating in 2022. I am very enthusiastic about sustainability and believe solar photovoltaics has a great potential to replace some conventional fossil-fuel burning.

I am also passionate about technology and design. I like solving challenging puzzles and problems.

Awards:

• 2020-21Earned Institute Academic Award for the highest CPI among 4th year MEMS students at IITB
• 2017 Awarded INSPIRE Scholarship for being in the top 1 percentile of Maharashtra HSC Exams among 1.5 Million students
